The GCC (Great Charity Challenge) was created to help small non-profit organizations (NPO) since the 2008 crisis in a context where donations were rarer. In its first year, GCC was able to raise over $ 400,000 to help 24 local NGOs. Today GCC helps over 30 different NGOs and raises over a million dollars a year. It is thanks to the joint effort of local and equestrian communities that these results have been possible.
What is Great Charity Challenge
GCC is a team jumping competition for riders, each team is made up of two junior / amateur and one experienced rider (Olympic or world-class rider).
Strong values
GCC aims to have a real impact to help local NPOs grow and help as many people as possible. It is in this logic that GCC is committed to ensuring that the donations paid for the financing of NPOs really help the beneficiaries, because 100% of the donations are distributed. Almost $ 15 million has been donated to 256 associations in Palm Beach County since GCC's inception.
Selection of NGOs is done by selection and also by a random system with a lottery done publicly to ensure that every NPO has a chance to receive the funds. All participating charities are required to use at least 75% of their funds in Palm Beach County (Florida), so these donations directly impact the community.
